About Us

Myfugo was founded in July 2018 to help smallholder dairy farmers improve their productivity and profitability through financial inclusion and use of sensor technology to assist in health and reproductive management. Myfugo does this by helping dairy farmers purchase high-milk yielding dairy cows through asset financing which is repaid in 12 months. Access to loans allows them to meet “just in time needs” such as Veterinary, Artificial Insemination and feed costs.

Myfugo also offers scalable digital solutions including alternative score card to increase financial inclusion for the unbanked and underserved. With an aim to bolster food security, our social impact indicators include increase in milk production per cow and increased revenue per farmer.

Business Development Executive

Position: Business Development Executive

About the Role
The business development executive will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management, as this role will garner and meet with potential clients. The business development executive will be responsible for researching client business referrals, network, and web leads; provide prospective customers/clients with all services offered and additional presentations as needed, and work with clients to create solutions for their needs and consult throughout the sales process. Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.

Key Responsibilities

1. Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies.

2. Building business relationships with current and potential clients.

3. Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs).

4. Collaborating with sales and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts.

5. Creating informative presentations; presenting and delivering information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.

6. Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information.

7. Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients; closing sales and working with the client through the closing process.

8. Meeting all quotas for cold, active, inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.

9. Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software.

10. Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans.

Requirements

1. Experience with lead generation and prospect management.

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers.

3. Persuasive and goal-oriented.

4. Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.

5. Able to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives.

6. High school degree or equivalent.

7. Four years of cold calling experience; previous experience in an outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience; knowledge of sales process from initiation to close.

8. Excellent analytical and time-management skills.

9. Demonstrated and proven sales results.

10. Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.

11. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.

Credit Officer

Position: Credit Officer

About the Role

The Credit Officer will facilitate lending for our clients by assessing creditworthiness and processing relevant paperwork. His/her responsibilities include preparing loan applications, evaluating clients’ financial information and calculating risk ratios. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of lending procedures and customer service experience.

Ultimately, you will help our clients acquire loans in a timely manner, while ensuring we comply with the law.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review loan requests.

2. Assess clients’ financial status.

3. Evaluate creditworthiness and risks.

4. Contact clients to gather financial data and documentation.

5. Analyze risks and approve or reject loan requests.

6. Calculate financial ratios (e.g. credit scores and interest rates).

7. Set up payment plans.

8. Maintain updated records of loan applications.

9. Follow up with clients about loan renewals.

10. Monitor progress of existing loans.

Requirements

1. Proven work experience as a Credit Officer, Loan Officer or similar role.

2. Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products.

3. Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.

4. Strong analytical skills.

5. Customer service experience.

6. Diploma/BSc in Banking and Finance, Economics or related field.

Dairy Field Officer

Position: Dairy Field Officer

About the Role

The Dairy Field Officer will be in charge of the production processes as well as general management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in milking, breeding, and caring for cows, and performs lay-veterinary duties on dairy farm: Assigns cattle owners to tasks, such as feeding and milking cows, cleaning cattle, barns, and equipment, and assisting with breeding and health care.

2. Inspects barns and milking parlor for cleanliness and maintenance and informs dairy customers of actions required to ensure compliance with established standards.

3. Studies feed and milk production records to determine feed formula required to produce maximum milk yield and notifies dairy customers of diet changes.

4. Studies genetic and health records to develop schedules for activities, such as breeding, dehorning, and sale of calves.

5. Schedules breeding, vaccinating, and dehorning of cows and calves.

6. Observes cows during estrus and artificially inseminates cows to produce desired offspring.

7. Examines cows for evidence of illness, injuries, and calving, treats illnesses and injuries, delivers calves, and engages veterinarian to care of serious injuries and illnesses.

8. Performs other duties as may be asked.

Requirements

1. Diploma/Degree in Animal production, Business Management or related field.

2. 3 years of experience.

3. Must have worked in a Dairy farm.

4. Ability to work independently.

5. Results oriented individual and a team player.

6. Organized, rigorous and precise. Must also have good reporting skills.

7. Recognizes and resolves problems quickly and efficiently.

8. Ability to effectively communicate and deal with clients & team members.

A Sales Lead serves as the point of contact between a business and its prospects or clients and has a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services. The Sales Lead also provides complete and appropriate solutions for every customer in order to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels and profitability.
